Date: The weekend of June 1-3, 2001 (Wedding on June 2, 4:00 pm)
Place: Migis Lodge, South Casco, Maine

Migis Lodge is located on the shores of Sebago Lake, one of Maine's larger southern lakes. On site, there are tennis courts, sailboats, rowboats, kayaks, and canoes available for you to use throughout the weekend, as well as several docks and many lawn chairs if you prefer to swim or simply read a book. Anyone who arrives at Migis by Friday night is invited to join us for a relaxing rehearsal dinner. We're planning on having a BBQ, complete with strawberry shortcake, outside under the tall pine trees. Bring your bathing suit and get in that first swim of the season. Keep your fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate and be sunny, warm and dry. |
| One of our primary motivations for choosing a "retreat weekend" for our wedding is that we wanted to have as much time as possible to spend with our friends and family. We also want to give everyone a chance to spend more time with each other (because we both know what we're getting into, but we don't think you all do!), and give you a chance to catch up with those people you haven't seen in a while. We think you will thoroughly enjoy the setting of the lodge and the stunningly beautiful lake surroundings. It would be a shame to travel all this distance, to only turn around and head home without spending a day or two enjoying the area. | ![]() |

There are nearly 30 cottages scattered throughout the property, none more than a stone's throw from the water's edge. Each one has a fireplace and is tastefully furnished with antique beds and furniture throughout. The cottages range in size from one to four bedrooms, and have living rooms and porches where you can relax and breathe in the cool Maine air. Children are welcome. Migis can arrange for babysitting service if desired. If there is enough interest ahead of time, we can provide a separate dinner for the kids to free up the parents for a hot night on the dance floor. We hope that you will choose to join us at Migis for the weekend. If you would prefer to stay someplace else, we've included some nearby options further down this page. Wherever you decide to stay, we strongly encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible, as early summer in Maine is both beautiful and popular. |
