Sue Robinson - Best Woman/ Diva of Honor

Sue and Sarah have know each other since they were seven years old. Highlights from childhood include camping trips, a trip to New York City with their moms, as well as numerous visits to each family's camp. A particular non-highlight of childhood was girl scout camp, where Sue learned that Sarah is of absolutely no help if you wake her up in the middle of the night. The camping trips must have affected Sue subconsciously, because at some point she decided she liked camping and joined Sarah on canoe trips to northern Maine and Canada. Their friendship survived attending college in different states, and even more importantly survived traveling together in Europe for 6 weeks after college. Sarah was the best woman when Sue married Bryan Mitchell, so Sarah felt it only fair that Sue be allowed to return the honor. And really, everyone can always use another bridesmaid dress!

John Peters - Best Man

John and Steve have known each other, well, all their lives. Growing up, they spent summers together sailing and winters skiing with the family. A highlight of each year was the August Yacht Club cruise which took the family on a two week overnight sailing trip up and down the New England Coast. Both went off to summer camp in the Berkshires at Camp Becket for several years. The brothers attended elementary and high school together, but then their paths split just before college. John attended Bowdoin College, where he met his wife, Jessica Radin. John will celebrate his 30th birthday over our wedding weekend.

Andrew Whitney - Crisis Manager

As the brother of the bride, and given his calm demeanor under pressure, Andrew has agreed to be the crisis manager for the wedding (or at least try to keep the Whitney side of things under control). Andrew will also help usher you to your seat before the ceremony.

Sarah and Andrew were children of the edict "Go outside and play." Favorite memories include learning how to paddle a canoe together, swimming at Drews Lake, and taking Sophie (the black lab) on her first kayaking trip, When they were allowed inside, they played Canasta, built forts out of the couch cushions, and played hide and seek when the power went out.

Paul Allen Carey - Ring Bearer

Paul is the two and a half year old son of Kim (Cuetara) and Jim Carey, and new big brother to Sam.  Apparently Paul has started practicing for the big day, but no one is sure if he will be willing to give the rings up when he gets to the end of the aisle.  Kim and Sarah first got to know each other on a retreat to Lake Winnipesaukee, where they played the game "This is a spoon. A what?  A spoon". They spent many weeks in the same unit at camp on Pine Mountain, their families camped together along the Saco River and in Baxter State Park, and they both participated in Youth Cabinet and drove all over the state of NH.

Sheila Brennan/ Sara Kirby/ Phoebe Milliken/ Monika Wirtz - Readers and Singers Extraordinaire

Where to begin with this crowd? Whit met Sheila (aka She-rah, Woman of Power) first, as they were roommates living on the 3rd floor of Rand.  Unfortunately for them, what was normally a huge double was turned into a triple as more students decided to enroll that year than the administration expected. It turned out just fine though, even with their opposing sleep habits.  Sara Kirby (aka Kirby) moved onto the floor in January of that year, and the gang began to form. Third floor exploits included a sleep over in the lounge, laughing at the drunk JA, and a raucous game of "I never", to name a few.  Second semester brought many visits by Monika to the floor, as it was such a happening place. Sophomore year Phoebe joined the fold and the quin-umverate was complete. Sheila and Monika will be singing at the wedding (any suggestions?), and Kirby and Phoebe will read something profound (again, any suggestions?)
