This is an account of our travels throughout the South Island of New Zealand during the month of March, 2002. As you may discern from our ramblings, we had a terrific experience, and are calling it the "holiday of a lifetime." We gathered this information so that we could remember nuggets of already fading memories. Much of the account was written from the road, so it not only reflects the actual activities as we did them, but also our emotional state at the time. To plan our trip,we relied heavily on internet resources. This is one small way that we could perhaps give back to the community that contributed to the success of our holiday.
